Life has a lot to offer. One year back , when I was in infosys, sitting in my grand campus , inside my cozy cubicle , on my revolving chair , doing some office work, I never realized that I could ever be able to bring smile to a kid’s face. I realized this after I joined a movement, a movement committed towards bridging the achievement gap in education, a movement endeavored towards helping many kids realize ‘they can’ and a movement through which I am able to become a reason to smile for 50 kids of my class and their community.
I joined ‘Teach For India’. I became a teacher, who is teaching under-privileged kids in government school. I am a teacher to 50 superstars of 2nd standard. Not only this, I feel proud when I walk into their community and people come to me and say ‘Sir’. I feel content when I ask my kids to ‘dream, dream and dream’ and they come to me and say ‘they want …….’
Many scriptures in India has called India a ‘Karma-Bhumi’. I understood the aptness of this saying after working for India, after teaching for India. So many colors on pallets, India needs artists to paint on its canvas.
One need not do big things to be happy, but the real greatness is in finding great happiness in doing small things. I am sharing a small video, I think many things in this video defines unadulterated happiness, we know these things but in our contemporary life , we are so much after ephemeral happiness that we forget to appreciate these things.
I hope you will enjoy watching this video
