“Teaching is not about education,
It’s about life.
It involves deep observation
A little struggle and strife.
We worry about what a child will become tomorrow
Yet we forget that he is already someone today
His life may be filled with hardship and sorrows
However, of hope there is always a ray.
You don’t have to weather the storm
Don’t treat it like an ache or pain
We don’t follow the conventional norm
Instead, we just dance in the rain.
We had students who were brilliant
Others trying to get there
They taught me how to be resilient
How to always love and care.
In these four weeks I’ve learnt immensely
the children taught me lessons galore
We’ve been trained and nurtured intensely
To TFI I’ll be indebted forever more.”
